December 2020 Newsletter

What a year! Gatherings have been limited and rules have changed but it has allowed us to re-focus on what's important: friends, family, and time well spent together. While people from geographic locations from around the world continue to seek a higher quality of life and refuge here in Aspen, Aspen's real estate market continues to stretch to new heights. No matter what gets thrown our way, Aspen real estate remains finite and steadfast due to our natural topography, deep history, endless recreation and strict building codes. Additionally, the last 40 years have shown a steady track of increasing values.

Our playground awaits you. I look forward to seeing you all here soon and I hope that 2021 is another of many years to come that you enjoy Aspen and Snowmass to the fullest with your family and friends. Resolve for 2021 to make Aspen a place on your Bucket List to visit or live.

Happy New Year and until then be well and be safe.

Fall 2020 Newsletter

Fall 2020 Newsletter

Autumn in Aspen is magical; the colors are breathtaking, hinting that winter is on the horizon. The Roaring Fork Valley just experienced the busiest real estate season I have seen in the last 20 years. Sales on every level, including; land, homes, and condos from $1M to $32M, were up over 100%. While inventory levels are down due to the increased demand, I continue to see Sellers that were previously reluctant to list their homes, introducing those properties with coveted locations to the market. Although we live in a changing world, it reinforces how fortunate we are to live in and play in our spectacular natural surroundings. Mike Kaplan, President, and CEO of Aspen Skiing Company, said it best, "Skiing feels more vital than ever. Soft snow beneath our skis, powder-coated trees, fresh corduroy, and time in the mountains with friends and family." And I couldn't agree more!

Spring 2020 Newsletter

Dear Friends,

Happy Memorial Day Weekend! The valley is green, rivers are flowing, golf is in swing and restaurants and shops are opening for business gradually. What a wild ride and grave experience this has been for all of us. I believe this time has allowed people the opportunity to re-evaluate what means the most to them and where they want to be if and when we find ourselves in this situation again. People have learned to work remotely while giving a little of themselves to others. As a result, people are seeking a healthier and safer environment to live in like Aspen. While airport and car traffic has picked up significantly and people come to "summer" here in Aspen, it makes us realize how fortunate we are to live in such a place of vast open space, infinite recreation and endless beauty. Whether you live here now, own a 2nd home here or want to make Aspen your home base or temporary retreat, please know if there is anything I can do in the world of real estate, I am here for you. Hope to see you soon. Be safe and be well,

Laurie
